Val_brosky, I think you are a rich boy. Wealth is not how much you have, but how you spend what you have. To enjoy a nice lifestyle with $120 (yes, that is what Rs. 5000 means these days) a month is what many people, young or old, rich or poor, pretty or ugly, prince or pauper must learn. Too many of us pend $100 in one shopping trip. Hats of to you.

Thinkince, you are getting serious, are you ? Getting into IIT is not easy at all. But encourage young younger bro.I am sure other members could help you better.

Well Carrie, I stopped studying coz i’m not interested in study anymore. I got a job, and I live in ‘without food PG/hostel,’ and the fee quite less compared to other PG/hostel or Mizo Hostels. I’m not a spendthrift… During my five years in Bangalore, I’ve watched movies in theater 2 times, never been to pub/club, and spend as little as possible in clothing. I drink beer socially but smokes a lot. So, with great difficulty I can manage….heheh.

I never and will never tell my friends or relatives to send their children or join secular colleges in Bangalore. But I may tell them to search a job here coz there are lots of opportunities here… from rather lower jobs to the highest.

I tried not to spend more than Rs. 5000 a month (including all expenditure), its really difficult. By the last week of the month either my mobile currency got over or I have to go reduce my daily cigarette dose by half!!!

I quess u r right. Whenever they mentioned a good colleges in India, i never heard any colleges from Bangalore in top ten in any stream, correct me if i am wrong. Yes its very expensive here asstaying with student and even earning 5 figures its still very difficult to manage your account.
