Salary increments are calculated based on employee’s monthly salary. Percentage-wise, regardless of how much you earn. Yes, if you have a heavy Paycheck, its a huge amount.

Please note: I didn’t say everybody gets his salary increased every six months, I said everybody has a chance to get his salary increased every six months, based on quarterly performance reviews.

15% every six months? 30% every year? year after year! What company is that? I wonder if that happens to people who already make 10 lakhs or more.

I have got mine. Its more than the AVG (14%) but 1% below the max I expected.

– well it depends! If one makes 2-4 lakha, 14% may not make much sense. but for those with heavy paycheck, it could still be a huge amount.

14% in MNCs? That’s pathetic. In the company where I’m working performance Reviews are done every quarter and based on the reviews salary increments are done every six months and never anything less than 15% hike.

In a year, you should receive a minimum of 20% hike and that’s only decent enough.
