I have my brother update our mess and his daily expenditure on a spreadsheet in Google Docs shared between us. When he updates, I get an email alert

just because we can, I am not saying we should. for example, if you are provided with a license copy of MS office at work, why avoid it? but if you are to install a pirated copy, there are alternatives.

companies/ngo etc.. with low cash should really consider the free alternatives instead of taking the pirated route.
