The problem is not external, but an internal one.
With social, religious, educational and personal experiences (not to mention some genetic/hereditary influences) working on an individual to mould his mental set up and view of life or philosophy, many things could be interpreted and assimilated differently. And sometimes due to insufficient proof and lack of objectivity in matters of spirituality, salvation and right path to securing a place in the celestial abode -the detour to Silchar or any other place may just be the extra mile required to obtain the right directions leading to Lunglei. (he has to rely on what people tell him and how they read the road map)
Of course, we may dogmatically assert that He is the Way to it and no one shall pass so and being a Christian it is the undeniable truth! But consider this. The act of accepting this and application of it in our lives is also subject to a great no of interpretations that could vary greatly from the denominational, communal, local and individual barriers we have built around us in order to gain exclusivity to the truth. IT’S ALL GREY!
So it’s in no one’s capacity to question the veracity or propriety of a fellow member’s personal convictions to follow the mission that he has been divinely entrusted to. And these divine crusades ,mind you, (may He forgive me for this)do tend sometimes to stretch the boundaries of absurdity.
The things we do in the name of religion and God are all based on our individual perception. It’s very hard to give concrete evidence to others affirming to the intimate knowledge or relationship we share with God since that too is based on our personal perceptions. And perceptions/emotions too, are merely our acquaintance to things/transient constructs on how they appear to be to one individual at a particular place, at a particular time; the reactions to these will differ too.
YOU ARE IMPORTANT!
ergo, the path taken may best be followed at one’s individual pace. The growth in understanding of the world, and oneself a and deep look into one’s soul and making the decisive pact with God shall come to pass in due time if one truly seeks: (if you don’t get stuck in Silchar!) go east or west the world is round so you’ll come round too.
sorry for the verbiage. Writing and metaphysics aren’t my forte.
