Found this cartoon on the home page of zoin.info. I don’t have much comment. There’s this big guy Pu Chhinlung carrying two small kids Hmar and Lai, and some small dwaf looking things standing in front. Who is Pu Chhinglung and why are the guys shouting/crying? Sorry for my ignorance. Enlighten me.

i think it Chhinlung refers to the place where you chinkies started your migration from. Some believe it is a place in china. but no one knows for sure now that you have managed to kill your history with a little help from Christianity.

Killed our history with a little help from Christianity?

Can you elaborate how that happened?

Chhinlung is BMA’s annual mag :-)

So how did the mag get its name?? why did they choose this name?? my guess is that Chhinlung is the only thing that binds and connects all the different tribes in mizoram. All you have is a name and when you lose this name there will be nothing to hold you together. i feel sad for you; you know so little about your past. It’s a shame that you cant trace your history beyond the Mary Winchester…

There is Jesus Christ, Christianity that can hold us together, regardless of caste and tribe.

You may know your roots but it wasn’t you who traced it. Was it you? So what credit can you bawngboy take about knowing your roots?

We are just find without you having to feel sad for us.

oh well knowing how many Christian groups there are in Mizoram and how you treat and see members belonging to groups like the UPC, Pu Chana Pawl etc. Its gonna take a lot more to keep you all together. he he..

If you take it way, even for a given denomination, church, there’s bound to be some kind of faction. That’s evil in the work.

What I am taking about is unity irrepective of orgin, not just among us. Anywhere when I meet a stranger, there’s an instant closeness when the stranger’s happen to be a Christianity. Keep in mind that just because there are different denominations, that doesn’t mean we are united and separted. It’s not Mizoram, there are different denominations all over the world.

you treat and see members belonging to groups like the UPC, Pu Chana Pawl etc

Thats a good point. Born again Christian who truly understand Salvation does not come from denomination/doctrine should do that.
We may not believe in each and every bit of what they practise and believe. But the Bible does tell us of misled people. Now I am not saying who is misled and who is not. Whatever be the case, truly born again Christian shouldn’t belittle such groups.

And if you are a VAI, why are afraid to say so? If you have read JH Lorraine’s definition of the word, it’s far from offensive and the orgin was never offensive.

If you go to Japan, you are a 局外者.

If you are in for a good discussion, your are welcome. If you are here to mock and make fun of us, it’s good bye.

Also, if you are that infamous cowboy messing around here earlier, having discovered the magic formula to return , appearing in a new form, earlier using BSNL line and now switch to VSNL, your fate will be the same as cowboy if you don’t change. (can’t led innocent readers go thru lines of nonsense)

If not, forgive me. You can forget this part.

    Maimawm Says:

Just wondering which ‘group’ or ‘race’ you belong to and how “together” do you expect us Mizos to be and what exactly you mean by ‘keeping you together’?
Mainland ‘India’ with all it’s fantastic history, traceable back to eons past, don’t seem to be all that together either. Seems to me like having an impressive history doesn’t do anything to hold people together…
If we’re peaceful now with our humble history-that-can’t-be-traced-beyond-winchester and many denominations, I’d still rather have that than non-chinkies who can’t stand their own neighbors just because they belong to different castes, despite their gigantic family trees.

Of course, if you’re talking about together as in, live-under-one-roof, never-fight-never-bicker-AT-ALL, ALWAYS-love-one-another together, then yeah, we have something big to work on, like the rest of the world!
