why do they call them Vai?

November 30th, 2006 12:35 pm by tiger

hi, tiger here again.
Was wondering, what is meant by the descriptive term Vai? Whats the origin? Meaning? Anything to do with the Sikh festival Vaisakhi? Any ideas?
