SSA stun East Bengal, take on SBHS in finals

Mapusa, Jan 19 SSA Football Academy, Mizoram, stunned defending champions East Bengal 5-3 via the tie-breaker to book their place in the finals of Nike-Manchester United Premier Cup (Under-15) India Finals 2008, at Duler stadium here today.

Mizoram lads who held the upper hand in the major part of the proceedings, hardly allowed their rivals to enter the danger territory.

Mizoram’s Lalruateela had one good attempt to move into the lead but East Bengal goalkeeper Abhishek Das dived full length to his left to stop the latter’s 25-yard strike from entering the nets. Minutes later LH Lawnkima also failed to find the net with only the goalkeeper at his mercy.
