Yeah I am in the process of getting it, specifically for visiting India.
For me the choice is obvious aussie passport or indian passport. I don’t need visa to go to most countries with my Aussie passport but with Indian waiting period could be as long as 2 to 3 months for many countries. Aussie passport provided me a big relief for me and my family as we can travel freely almost anywhere in the world especially US, UK, Europe which we visit annually.
I could not bear the added burden of of holding Indian passport at immigration clearance. You would notice that only if you’ve been to the UK or some major european airports while people from Australia, NZ and EU can pass through immigration clearance in an express lane, people from rest of the world (asia/africa/samerica/russia etc) needs to queue for hours and hours especially at heathrow airport in London.
Plus I have the right to vote in my country’s election and the privilege of all the rights and duties afforded to people who are born here. Even if I were to live in India i’d still keep my aussie passport
When i read the word Shahnaz, herbal naturally came to my mind. Soz about that.

Well you are wrong I can go to 120 countries without visa with australian passport , with Indian passport one can go to only 25 countries without visa.

If you hold an Indian passport without other travel documents, you will NOT pass through heathrow in 15 minutes, unless there are no other passengers which is unlikely. With Australian passport the queue probably last 5 minutes at most and no que at all when I travel in business class because there is another express lane for first and business class passengers apart from those from visa free countries.
Why should I waste my precious time standing in line for hours at immigration while I can walk through the gate and enjoy my holiday in luxury?
I have no regrets in ditching Indian passport which have such tiny significance in globalised world we live in. i can do without all the added problems by holding that passport which almost every other countries frowned upon. I only visit India for a few weeks anyways.

Exactly, you hold permanent residency which gives you some rights but not all afforded to citizens. You could be deported by Austrian government at any time for their own reasons. I have Australian citizenship and I cannot be deported anywhere else because I have the same rights as the prime minister. The Australian government have the obligations to assist me if I have problems abroad.
yes 120 countries, it means 99% of countries I wanted to visit are visa free with no hassle, no suspicious look or unnecessary interrogation. As a subject of her majesty The Queen of Australia , i could feel at home in the UK, Canada, New Zealand as well. I have no doubt that you travelled extensively but I am pretty sure that the more you travel the more you appreciate the fact that you have EU travel document/residency other than Indian Passport.
