Q. Why do most Christians think that Christianity is the only true Religion?
A. It is because we have been taught that way since our birth.
Look at it this way, If you had been born in a hindu/muslim family, and you had been taught the hindu/muslim religion right from the time you are born, I don’ think you would still be a christian, rather would would grow up believing that the hindu/muslim religion is the only true religion.
If you can believe that God send his son, and the son died and rose again, it is also easy to believe that a monkey man carried a whole mountain in his hand, or mohammed commanded the mountain to come to him.
I’m not saying religion is a bad thing, on the contrary, religion gives you hope and strength.
What i am trying to say is that, we believe what we want to believe. I once read of an interesting experiment carried out by a man(forgot his name). He made a clay idol and put it on his mantelpiece. Then he willed himself to worship that idol, at first he felt ridiculous, but after a period of time, he actually started to revere that idol, and he could not walk past it without lowering his head in a certain sense of revere.
Wouldnt it be better if there had been no religion, no jihad, no crusades. I was a Christian before(since my parents are christians). But now I consider myself an Atheist.

Christianity is the true religion. But the way some characters masquarade as Christian leaders put off many believers and would be believers. It is probably the most abused religion apart from Islam. So much killings, oppression of poor and helpless, money and glory, war and pain has been created in the name of Christianity.

I agree with 3d-lover partly. I’d never change my religion if I were born a Muslim, Hindu or whatever…..!!The difficult part for Christians is the fact that the Bible asks us to preach the gospel to the nation. I do not believe in distributing free medicine samples and converting non-believers into Christians (considering that’s what has been done in the past).
What I believe is that ‘there is one God’. And the Bible says the way to God is only through Jesus Christ. Considering that nothing would move my faith and the fact that I would not change my religion,I wonder what would happen to Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and so on….??? Will they accept Jesus as the only way,the truth and the life?
Someone in my family has chosen the path of becoming a missionary and is bound to preach the gospel soon. I often ask myself if tat’s really necessary cos’ I believe God will take care of the non-believers as he’d definitely love them more than we do.
Being a Christian by birth, I feel lucky to be a Christian and I would not trade it for any other religion in this world. But I sometimes wish God would personally tell us what to do and what not to do as His voice is way too soft for me to hear sometimes. Even if I hear Him loud and clear, I find it way too difficult to follow his rules to the T. I guess it all depends on the individual…….

Religion is something that’s on paper, faith is something else. To me Christianity is a religion.

Tu rinna mah hi vanram kan kai pui dawn lova, keimahni ngeiin kan rinna, kan thinlung ngei kan hlanna kha a ni pawimawh ni. Mahni kan inhlan loh chuan kan chiang lo fo reng ang - ‘Show me the way’ sure is nice song really like it, does sometimes take me to a different place. But the person who wrote the song seem too much to depend on what other people do to determine his faith rather than his own. And if he had searched more deeply into himself he would have surely found the way, I reckon!

But I reckon if the writer of the song didn’t look at others to determine his faith he surely would have seen the way, maybe he has now !
