i am a believer of The Bible myself, but when it comes to certain issues certain Christians (especially Mizos) are uptight disproportionately and very narrowminded about it. for example, many Mizos believe that drinking a few beers/drinks and getting a buzz seems to be a major sin. yes, drinking and getting drunk is a sin according to The Bible. envying your neighbor, judging others, sexual attraction to married women etc. are all sins. but when it comes to issues like alcohol and homosexuality certain Christians make it seem like alcohol or homosexuality are MUCH BIGGER sins. many Christians do not make a big deal about a person envying another, judging another, a school kid bullying another kid, downloading illegal music (stealing music) etc. but when they talk about alcohol or homosexuality, they make it sound like they are MAJOR SINS compared to others. everyone can intrepret The Bible their own way, but i personally feel that many Christians are inconsistent and put major focus on less significant issues and are very unfair about it.
i do not claim to be any moral authority here, but as far as my worldview and beliefs go, i think “sins” that have an overall bigger impact on others need more focus. for example in my opinion, watching porn, being gay or drinking alcohol responsibly etc. are less evil than verbally abusing someone, judging and saying hateful comments to others, beating up a kid etc. and i do not claim to be a moral person. i am probably am offender of all the sins i mentioned above at some point but i am just stating my views.

we are living in the real world. The Bible is not a bunch of ideas and teachings that are meant to be theoretical and ideal. it is our job as Christians to interpret The Bible and apply it to our lives according to our interpretations PRACTICALLY. Theoretically you might be right in saying that all sins are equal, but in the real world this cannot be followed practically. in my opinion i do not think even Jesus Himself would say that downloading illegal music is as bad as being a serial killer who rapes and kills a 100 people.
