Update: IBN Live: Mizos skip church to watch Kasauti
MZP opposed Prem’s visit. Now Champhai NGO wants to stop airing of the serial.
Reports from Champhai today said a recent meeting of NGOs convened by the Champhai Group YMA decided to make the request to cable TV operators to stop showing the Hindi serial since it creates “problems in church attendance and condolence gatherings”.
The issue wasn’t the agenda of the meeting
The source further said the Hindi serial had not been on the agenda in the meeting but was brought up by some committee members and it was discussed in detail and a decision taken.

Who do they (Champhai NGOs) think they are ?
Were they appointed as member of regulatory board on public boradcasting or central board of film censors.
This is the result of giving too much authority to NGOs.
The likely outcome is they they will (illegally) threaten cable TV operators to stop Star TV altogether or make the screen blank during certain time.
Next: ban teaching of Hindi in schools
Then: Ban Indian dress, currency, banks, food and anything Indian.
