Mizoram Police website has this table showing the top brass in Mizoram Police. No. 3 is missing. FYI, the table also shows their basic pay scale.

Emailed them about this missing cop last year.
If anyone thinks of sending an email threat to the state’s cop, chances are it won’t work.
I appreciate Mizoram Police in coming up with a website but they got to do better than this.

Rs. 26,000 p.m. is the pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
Are you sure that the Government of India has fixed Pay of DGP at that range ? Except the Chief secretary, no officer in the state should have been given that pay scale. But. anything is possible in this rich state.

It is the other way round. The Government of Mizoram fixed pay of DGP of Mizoram at the same rate as Secretary to GOI fixed by the 5th Union Pay Commission back in 1996, normally an IAS officer who served at least 32 years or so. You amy have heard of big salaries enjoyed by employees of this state government. This is it. This is why young men and women from here are so reluctant to serve in other states.
Some pro-MNF members may pull me up for writing these and accuse me of being against Mizo culture, etc. as they did with xome members. If they do, let them be ready for my response. I am not afraid of deeply corrupt government and their sympathisers.

How come the “Basic Scale Pay” (bad English: It should be “Basic Pay Scale”) at Column 8 stands at Rs. 26,000 when the pay scale is Rs.22,400-525-24,500 ? In central government, officers could get pay higher than maximum of pay scale, if they are given “stagnation increment” but that is for only officers with pay scale starting with Rs. 18,400 p.m. or below. But that could be given after every two years and only two increments. Officers with basic pay at Rs. 22,400-525-24,500 (same as Additional Secretary to GOI) are NOT entitled to Stagnation Increment. But in Mizoram, it looks like there is no such restrictions.
After all, there is so much money here.
