While you football fans watch Romania and France running after a ball, iPhone and Mac loyalists from around the world are eagerly listening, watching and reading God’s (Steve) sermon (they call it keynote speech) at Apple WorldWide Developer Conference 2008, held in San Francisco. WWDC is where Apple announces new products every year which makes it such a holy occasion.
A little after 10 AM Pacific Time (close to 2300 IST), God appeared on the stage in his standard outfit. That means faded jeans and turtle neck. Doesn’t look faded this time.
Showers of blessing
So what’s new? Plenty! Just too plenty. Many new applications and features. Count your blessings!!
The 3G Prophecy
Every tech and gadget blogs hints the new iPhone will be blessed with 3G – prophecy they call it. 3G – that means Dick can now watch mon and dad only videos straight from the Internet on his iPhone – fast wireless Internet. Not when in the church(Biakin chhungah blue-film) ,of course!
Even at 20 minutes two midnight, no word of 3G. Hmmmm. The God must be crazy.
iPhone takes on Blackberry
Any Blackberry user here? Using something called Blackberry Enterprise server, Blackberry users get hooked to their office to check emails while on the move. iPhone 2.0 does this using secure VPN from Cisco.
Angels and Demons
After God opened the show, comes the turn of Angels and Demons doing their rounds of new applications and features demos.
Finally God says “Let there be 3G”
This is the moment of truth. God shows the iPhone downloading The National Geographic’s home page in 21 seconds on the 3G network (a little behind my 256 Kbps DSL line) while the EDGE one runs into eternity. But in a far away kingdom called India, we are yet to have 3G because the Government is yet to “OK” 3G.
God knows where you are
A gentile called chepahakhata dared to curse God because baby iPhone lacked GPS – God Positioning system. Chepahakhata, God hears you. The new iPhone will have built in GPS. That is another prophecy come true!
iPhone 2.0 software for an offering for 10 bucks. New iPhone for $199
If you bought the baby iPhone, you too can receive the blessings of God by making an offering of $10. If iPhone 2.0 is your new born, it takes a sacrifice of $199 for 8 gigabyte model, $299 for the 16 gigabyte model. To be available July 11 but later in India if I hear him right.
At current exchange rate 199 USD is 8447 INR but when it comes to India, it will be more than that. However, should still be quite affordable.
How I attended the show?
Thanks to the Apostles live blogging, I do not have to be anywhere close. As God speaks, the Apostles writes. Thousands of miles away, I can hear God almost as he speaks.

yea he says a max of 199 USD all around the world. So unlike other apple products I hope its more than the INR equivalent of 199 USD. But I am not so seen on being the first to buy it. I will watch and wait.

Steve Jobs? God? Really? If Apple was a religion, it’s not Jobs that is God but rather Steve Wozniak. Woz was the creator, the architect of all that is Apple. Jobs is a loud mouthed overhyped salesman who manages to use Woz’s creation for his own personal benefit. Much like many evangelists of today.

When Steve was young, he and a friend had to be rushed to a local hostipal because they wanted to know how a rat poison tasted like. He survived! Only God can survive haha
Steve also survived cancer! Woz is more like the tooth fairy 
he would help Steve fix his work in exchange for some games at Atari.

IMO, iphone thatna chu internet surf nan a ni ber….camera hi tra lo ( night/day mode adjust theih loh, zoom theih loh, vid awm lo)….tin, sms thawn a nin awm tawp! key hmet zet2 a thawn thrang tan chuan touch screen a khawh/type muang duh. even tho i am a great admirer of apple pdts, i have to admit iphone is a bit of dissapointment.
Kan pa in blackberry curve 8310 a hmang a, tha a ti khawp mai. Mahse internet surf nan iphone a tluk lo.
