I hate and despise the fact that they seal the box. It’s unacceptable having to take the box to them when you want to install a new hardware. Besides service charge asked for the job. One dealer said “So does branded manufacturers”. I don’t buy his excuse.

One of the reason why they seal the box apparently is that there are some people who tamper with the system when they have problems with the computers and when they couldn’t fix it they take it to the dealers as if it hasn’t been touched. It’s intersting to know that such kind of practices prevail …….considering how proud we are as the only Christian State in the country…..

That is bound to happen elsewhere too. I am surprise how they manage that without having to seal the box.
Here we get warranty for individual parts. What right do they have to seal the box? If the got to the extent of sealing the box, when do they still demand we take the box to them even for issues like installing new hardware?
It’s unacceptable.

My God!, thats horrible and unbieveable. They seem to take advantage of customer’s ignorance.

They can do one thing,
Get the serial Number for individual parts write it down in their register in addition to that Sign it (with date) in the parts with a marker. Thats how they do when buying by parts.
Sealing generally means, Dont go anywhere elase if anything is spoilt, come back here and well earn something or else u get it repaired elsewhere and then if there is any problem in future we are free to charge u how much we want.

hehe….forget about enforcement of rules …one problem is …
in other parth of the world there are 3 law makers ,legislature,executive, and judiciary
in mizoram we have 4 law makers, legislature,executive, judiciary and YMA,……coz of this, its very difficult to book the culprit…hahahhaa
not only in computer, but also in medicine,book and almost consumer durable items, bussinessman in mizoram an thriving on the ignorance and live and let live attitude of consumers……….so many items i used to purchase at a rate which is above the marked price(which is fixed inclusive of local tax)
