St Thomas-A piece of his bone

February 19th, 2007 5:04 pm by BlackWhite

Went to Thomas mount when I was in Chennai. This is the place where St Thomas was pierced by a lance. Notice the teensy weensy white piece of bone in the middle of the cross (first picture). The painting of Mother Mary is believed to have been painted by St Luke and the brown colored cross on the altar is also believed to have been carved by St Thomas himself.

The aura of the place was, I must say, divine. Sharing some of the pictures I took : )
