This Web site claims that, in Mizoram :-
- Only 14 people died till June this year because of the overdose of lethal drugs. Some 42 people had died owing to drug consumption during the same period last year.
- The change in this drug death scenario this year happened after the Church-led Young Mizo Association carried out an extensive anti-drug campaign. (Church-led YMA? that’s new to me!)
- The excise department acknowledged the role played by the YMA in curbing the intake of drugs by the Mizos, especially by a section of the youth.
The site is the News Site of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India, who in my opinion, are just giving opinions about their own importance. And, could someone enlighten them that the YMA is not led by the church? or is it that I’m the one who needs to get my facts right?

church led-YMA – a very wrong yet right mistake …. in a way (behind closed doors) i think YMA and the whole avenue of MIzoram politics is church led….. however to stick to the news… YMA seem to be doing a good job there…. congrats for saving lives!!

The YMA were fully supported by the Church is how it should’ve been reported. You go tell ‘em, bw. There’s a world of difference between leading and supporting sth.
