The flag of Imperial British India. Largely unknown to Indians nowadays. I prefer this flag over current tricoloured Indian flag. It is a defaced Blue ensign with Union Jack on the top left corner and the Star of India on the right side with words ” heaven’s light our guide” written around the star.

Correction – This is not the flag of India, but the flag of the indian navy during british rule (I went to the link given and looked it up). This is what the site says about this flag:
Ensign of Indian Marine 1879 to 1891.
Ensign of Royal Indian Marine 1891 to 11 November 1928.
Jack of Royal Indian Marine 1 November 1928 to 1934 (see previous jack).
Jack of Royal Indian Navy 1934 to 1947
