Breaking news: we are now left with only eight planets.. this is truly sad cause Pluto was always my favorite planet …If someone was to have asked me ‘what’s your favourite planet’ I would have said ‘go away’ but had they said ‘come on, just say one’ I would have said Pluto, as it had the best sounding name
The International Astronomical Union’s (IAU) has decreed that Pluto is no longer a planet cause “Pluto failed to dominate its orbit around the Sun in the same way as the other planets” =(
Pluto will now be classified as a “dwarf planet”… thats very insulting .. as it is Pluto is already a very small planet and now to be called a “dwarf”… is just so sad!
and now all those text books need be re-written.. Pluto will now just be a footnote in the history of the universe… no longer part of the Big 9 (Big 8 it will now be called)..
Goodbye Little Pluto… you may be gone but you will never be forgotten.. may you keep on bringing joy to Neptune in your little corner of the universe and you always in my heart will be the ninth planet.. the first guardian of our solar system..
maybe one day when im 60 ill tell my grandkids about you…. i will take them out on a dark night with the stars in the sky and point in your direction and say.. “kids.. you know of only eight planets but many years ago there was a ninth one called Pluto and he is still out there somewhere.. ” they of course wont understand.. but you live on forever in my heart.. adieu dear Pluto..

Most planets, constellations et al are named after figures from classical mythology…..Greek or Roman gods, goddesses and their ilk, as in Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Orion, Charon, etc etc

imagine you were to write your class 5 science final exam paper next year
and one of the questions was .. which is the outermost planet in the solar system and you answer pluto.. then it will be wrong.. then you will miss the pass mark by one mark.. how sad will that be!
