My number one is still Calcutta Airport. I’d give it a 9/10….

Yeah I think Cal rocks when it comes to security. There are officials checking your baggage when you leave the airport after arrival. At other airports like Bangalore, Coimbatore and Mumbai, we could just walk out of the airport once we collect our bags (atleast thats what I’ve experienced) with nobody verifying our luggage. Its very easy for people to steal other people’s luggage.
And another reason why I love Cal airport. After 5pm, the Airport bar opens and we can happily smoke there. Smoking is prohibited in the rest of the airport premises like restaurant, lounge etc. No more sneaking into the airport toilet or going outside to smoke. hehehe. But yeah, the booze is pretty expensive

Calcutta Airport is clean…ive seen dirty airport toilets and itz such a shame…
once we were stuck in Imphal Airpost for about 5 hours and the ladies toilet is all blocked and there were ektum floating on water

I would rate Cal airport 1/10,mainly because I just cannot stand the people working there.They are so rude and take advantage of you.The international airport is one of the worst I had ever seen.Sometimes I wonder what the foreigners flying in to Calcutta would make of India. The old custom officials with their thick glasses and unsmiling faces would manually flick through your passport and sometimes ask ignorant questions.Why can’t the airport authority train them to smile and be more polite to the weary travellers and install computer to scan passport after all we are living in 21st century .

Hey, I’ve been to several countries and international airports, and the custom officials aren’t ‘smiley’ either and they ask silly questions too. But yea, they’re not rude.

I don’t go to the bar. I carry it from here , in coke bottles, ready to drink. Sit in the lobby and take a sip as if it’s coke. Since I had to spend the night in the dorm, not a bad idea. You could walk around with the bottle,sit, read and drink in the lobby in the dorm, you are all alone, and it feels so good , you come to the window sometimes, watch giant a/c machines whisling like giant tea pots.

Chaw te chu order theih. Duh leh airport fast food vel kha ni mai lom. Ladies dorm ah ka riak lova, chicks chu an awm lo. A/C ah chuan ka riak lo. The journey was like this
1) Chennai Airport Rest room – A 1/4 bottle of wine bottoms up.
2) Spent the night in the dorm with a bottle of coke+rum
Then was totally dry in Aizawl becuase was fraid of the YMA

For landing there’s no place like Lengpui. For takeoff, Kolkatta, coz it usually means we’r heading to Lengpui, if not the other way.

among the domestic airports..mumbai is pretty cool ,kolkotta is kinda good too…delhi is terrible..dirty and everything broken,bangalore and goa is like..wow! anyone could just walk out with the luggage…mak ve khups mai…but kullu-manali airport is the cutest ,cleanest and quaintest airport i`ve ever been to…its on the bank of the beas..and all wooden floor…a nuam reuh..lengpui chu luggage lak mawlh khi….sumdawng season ah phei chuan, hah thlak!!! mahse eddie khi a fel hehehehee
