Notice the license plate of the Jeep (Assam?). Looks like the time/period when Mizoram was a district of Assam.

the only record i can find of Nehru having visted Mizoram was his visit in October 1952

also according this this ASSAM RIFLES WEBSITE Indira Gandhi and Nehru visited Aizawl to inaugurate some Assam Rifles thingie unfortunately the foto never downloads completely

My Grandfather led a “Three Cheers” for Nehru when he visited Mizoram.

I have a photo of Nehru dancing with my Grandparents.

I came across this as I wanted to find some detail about the visit to nudge my Gran’s memory about it.
