MZP leaders, however, said in a statement that they did not impose any curfew and had requested non-Mizos to stay indoors for their own safety due to the communal tension created by the murder of Kapliana, a Mizo, by “non-tribal goons” in Assam’s Cachar district.

I did not see the word “request” used by MZP earlier. Why now, after all the criticism? Many sources carried out the statement from MZP asking non-Mizo’s to stay indoors. For us, it is now difficult to know what was the exact statement, words used.

MZP does have a website which they don’t seem to know how to use.

hmusit or any other means of taking things in the wrong way is not very good , doesn’t help anyone. A lak dan thiam kha ani mai,thil reng reng hi.

If people are so much unhappy with the MZP trying to take precaution, then let them come out..!!! this is just precautionary measure, problem is Mizoram govt is not doing anything, they are so busy for themself. MZP leaders maynot be sitting in the class room, but we should also understand that they are pressure group, we all know in other cities, students leader are not really the one who are very good student, but they are pressure group !!! we should not abuse them so much be it , MZP or YMA or MSU or MHIP… Kan Bible in e nge a sawi “Roreltute and fel loh chuan , Mipui an buai thin” tih anih kha.

@homer: the point I am making is that MZP should use their website to as a “medium” to communicate PR, activities, propaganda etc.

Since the launch, I have not seen the site update and it’s been “Under Construction” for a couple of months now.

So to me,

1) they don’t care
2) they don’t know how to use it for useful purpose
3) they do not realize the usefulness of the web

We get angry at MZP, YMA etc etc. But the real culprit is the govt. who are unable to even raise their voice (forget taking any action) against all these wrongs going on – against vais by MZP, or against fellow Mizos by YMA/ SRS………..
