Aizawl, Sept 26: While the PRISM is currently occupied with its campaign to bring in the CBI to investigate corruption in the state and one organization had just revealed the names of so-called corrupt officials to the public, another organization has come out to the world again stating their mission to eradicate corruption in the state.
The All Mizoram Educated Federation, an organization of ‘educated’ members, released a statement today saying they are aggrieved that no actions are taken against corrupt officials by the state government. “We have pledged to do everything within our power to fight corruption in this state and ensure that the corrupt are duly punished. We have also drafted ‘Preventive Measures’ to prevent corruption in this state which we will reveal soon,” the statement read.
The federation also slammed certain non-governmental organizations against corruption, who they alleged of having ties with political parties. “Our federation will not have any linkage with political parties and fight corruption according to the will of the people,” the statement declared.
The All Mizoram Educated Federation invites all NGOs, church denominations, media and the people to stand with them in their fight against corruption.
