The Mizoram Government presented a Rs 303.6-million deficit budget for 2008-09, which did not impose any new tax, and said it will ensure efficient tax collection. Presenting his last budget in the present term, Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who is also the Finance Minister, laid the supplementary demands for grants amounting to Rs 7.22 billion.
