I think you guys are all very perceptive and I agree with almost all your view- points. I believe that the quality of corporate worship depends on individual worship. While it is important that we, as the body of Christ, congregate to glorify God and to edify each other, our personal walk with God has to take pre-eminence over this. All aspects of our faith and work (once we are followers of Christ) hinges on this.
It saddens me that we refuse to learn from the very people who brought the good news to us. The church in England and Wales, once in the cutting-edge of world missions is now on a rapid decline. While the main-line churches continue on their path of conservative doctrine, they fiercely cling on to their church traditions, which have been given precedence over the commands of Christ. So therein lies the problem. And we, the church here are going down the same road. I believe that we cannot do without conservative theology, but we do not need obsolete, redundant church traditions.
Some years back, I followed a charismatic preacher. And then God rescued me! Hahaha. I have observed quite a few such beings in the last few years. What bothers me about many of these name-it-claim-it-health-and- wealth-more-anointed-than-you preachers is their lack of accountability. Oh sure, they CAN preach - Great, deadly, lively sermons. They give the impression that they hear better from God. So why bother to take the counsel of men? On almost all occasions, God agrees with them! Woe is you, if you disagree with them. No one can speak against “God’s anointed”. They often use the pulpit as a means to pursue their vendetta. And I am convinced that this lady who is preaching at Vanapa Hall is no exception. WAKE UP, PEOPLE! Smell the roses! You all know what to do. You don’t need a preacher doing and saying funny stuff to lead you to do the same. Love God and your neighbor. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Be doers of the word.

If the parents of these teenagers are the corrupt, immoral but ocassionally Bible bashing kind of pharisaic christians, then these teenagers’ revival and born again experience will not last long. They will fall soon again because of their parents. Teenagers know if their parents are right with God in money matters or not. So the ball is with parents. If parents lead and guide their children in the way of the Lord from their infancy through their (parents’) life and words, then we will not need this kind of crusade again and again. Unfortunately, many parents in our churches have failed their children.

If you believe in Theory of Evolution, you are less likely to be fooled by faith healers, with doctors and spritual people. It is science which brings this internet, your car, medicines, house and almost everything around.
As to our most unfortuante state, corrupt politicians are havign a field day since we have no guts to take them on. Mizos are too timid to confront them. Fior that religion is a very useful tool for them I at least try to make public aware about their rights against their elected leaders, and supported NGOs who combat corruption seriously.

Please remember, my comments about corruption were made in general. I did mention that the late Mr. Aichhinga was NOT among the most corrupt ministers.(see No 26) In fact, I think he was fairly clean.

Hmm…. my point is what looks/sounds like a physical(body) healing to the preacher(remember she’s just another human-being like you) could have been a spiritual healing intended by God!! Who knows??
I undoubtedly believe that there is nothing God cannot do!! I understand that if a doctor successfully operates on a patient,u will give credit to the doctor/science. I,on the other hand will give credit to God/doctor believing that God works through the doctor.Looks like you and I will never see eye to eye in this topic.
