My Government proposes to upgrade the various facilities at Lengpui Airport through various Projects and Schemes to be taken up during 2005-2006. To facilitate safe operation of the scheduled flights even under adverse weather conditions, actions for establishment of Meteorological Observatory and installation of Instrument Landing System have been initiated and implementation is expected during 2005-2006.
