A tradition of the Church which our fathers have inherited, was the adoption of the words “cross” and “crucify”.

Like your post in another sense….i am reminded of the cross which saw the image of the ultimate and perfect sacrifice of personal wellbeing in the interests of others(people like you and me so that we can have eternal life)….
Talking of emotions in what sense???…As Zakaraih oftently pointed out,somewhere in the world of Philosophy we have made a huge blunder across the century when we lost contact with the reality of emotions and made human being purely cerebral(making brain work)….and in the 1950′s and 60′s the the existentiallist philosopher become so popular focusing on emotions,pasion and experience ,swing the pendulam to the other degree where rationality was not as important as acting with passion…Mind you thianpa Zoho God has given us our emotions for a reason just as he has given us ‘sensitivity to touch’. Suppose you put your hand on something that burn you pull it away because you know if you keep there for somtime it will burn the rest of your body…emotions are indicator of reality not fabricator or framers of reality…
In the book of malakiah God said’ I have loeved you’ and the people look at him an said’In what sense?’.What a focussing emotions here,saying “I have loved you”….Can you imagine if this was relavant before the cross how much more will be relavant on the cross..You cannot worship God without emotions because he is born of love….Please share the meaning of emotions that God has given..this will give you a clear picture of what he is….hope you put faith and love in a separate sense within the christian context….here i am not talking of faith….hehehe…
Please do read and go through some of the books and sermon of Christian Apologists,you can be someone fruitful to other….. Anyway i like your post…
