Thinlai thawngtu thu chimawm chu -

Runlum nuthai chang tawh hnu khan,
Luaithli nula suihlung chhirin
Chun-i run belhzai i rel tak le!
Chhimtianga khiang i awi tawh hnu,
Leng dang tawna chul tawh hnu khan -
Parlai i chawi leh dawn em ni?
Dai theu loha sahrang hliam hnu,
Vul leh thei hian i mawi lo ve!
Hun leh sul tam liam tawh mah se,
A tiam ‘rinawmna’ hlen lo mah se,
Sut ve i maw rinawm biahthu?
Sulhnu nunhlui a tharlai leh
Ka di ar ang a vaihlai hian.
Thlangtlai ni kawl a her liai e,
Liampui nang che tawn loh sakruang -
Pamhmai kimtlang, nuih mawi, a bahsam nen.
Lungril rinawm beiseina chuan
Chhum zinna piah ram a thlir fo vang.
Chuailo par pawh a chuai thin – he ramah hian.
Lungril hmangaihna erawh a cham – thinlungah hian.

Thlarau pawlna chan laia ziah chhuah bawrh bawrh, chul mam lem loh a ang. poetry chu a ri lo (hmmm..hmm,hmmm…) ti a chhiar pawn a mawi tur a ni..hnam dang pawn ngaithla se a mawi an ti tur a ni… an ti thin, a thu ni lovin a rik/thluk dan (tone leh flow), a ri (ri sang, hniam, khamphei..) leh rhyme hi a pawimawh hmasa ber in ka hria. Sylable nen. Chu mi chhungah chuan a thu leh kan sawi tum chu remkhawm i la, a fuh tlang pui. Blank leh free verse ringawt phuah lovin mithiam hmasa ten form fel tak, eg. Sonnet, quarted..ldt. an neih sa ho hi zui thin ila, hmasawn a awl.

Sap tawngin tihian anlo tih thin kha!
The freedom to not-rhyme must include the freedom to rhyme. Then verse will be “free.” All rhymed poetry must be rhyme-driven. This is no longer considered pejorative.
