SIESTA

Whilst fleeing in an imaginary town,
A traveler’s beckoned by a ravishing sound,
So he lays his feet upon the garden causeway;
Hilariously, taking one step to the next on the way,
‘Tis encircled with the salubrious wind, truth to say;

The ether is replete with thousands of bewitching ray,
As though it were a rising sun of breezy winter;
Glitter enough to beautify all who enter,
Its allurement bestows stupefaction to all,
Those who hear and answer the call.

Yet all of them stand on their own sagacity,
For, verily, ‘tis the reason why they call “serenity”.
Demons and deuces, elves and evils thrust themselves aside
From inside, even chaos exiles itself out of sight;
On the outside, every nook and corner seems topsy-turvy,
For all the outsiders are filled with envy.

He stands erect, a dump-founded traveler,
Then he sees a sage-like lady holding a flower,
Who seems to gaze at him from the beginning,
She smiles lovingly; everything’s so amazing,
“Have you seen that….that place?” comes from his mouth,
Pointing to the supposed wonderful place of all, almost out
Of breath, continues to utter another question, bother not an answer
To his already uttered question: “What is it? If you are a teller?

The lady then tells him, “’Tis the place where everything’s perfect,
And complete, only the good things dwell; in fact,
The dwellers had to face untold hardships and sufferings on their way,
Yet they underwent and had overcome, pushing away
Even nostalgia, focusing only on the promised-land,
Knowing that all the pain will come to an end,
And they’ll enjoy their entire salvation,
With their Savior by their side bestowing them full satisfaction.”

After having said what she’s supposed to say,
Among the clouds leaving her flower, she fades away;
Then he hears a repeating sound: “Time’s up”,
With a flower lying beside him, from his SIESTA, he wakes up.
