You may have to register your dog every year

If implemented, I think Chandigarh will be the first city in India where you will have to register your pet dog. Considering the beauty of this city and its clean lanes, I found it quite obvious. It is proposed that the registration fee will range from Rs 10 to Rs 100. While the fine for violation, which is Rs 5 at present, may also go up to Rs 500.

The pet dogs shall not be allowed to defecate in public places, including residential, lanes and other prohibited areas.

However, if a dog defecates in public, onus will be on the owner to remove the faecal matter, say the guidelines.

this is a good.. im tired of stepping into dogg shit every couple of years.. been a long time since i stepped into it but it stinks for a looooong time.. ask my chemistry classmates.. no amount of chemicals could get that stink out of the chem lab for an hour… muahahahaahaha
