Mizos from other metros used to joke that Chennai Mizos send useless sms such as “hehe” over and over again. True. Hutch prepaid subscribers had very good deal.Unlimited free sms, both local and national + free Hutch-Hutch call for a small amount as monthly subscription. This was a valuable gift to those who got their sweetheart in town, who would talked and talked into the dead of the night. I was one of those people ๐
This probably flooded the network and Hutch acted on it by making daily limit. So when the permissible number of sms is exhausted, one could not send sms until midnight. This upset many of the Mizos. Hutch even went to stop this offer for new subscribers.
Much to the dislike of Chennai Mizos who enjoyed this offer for years, Hutch had completely done away with this facility.
Today, I am probably still here to “hehe” and “hmmm” people! Thanks to my post-paid plan.
Actually, I didn’t have a cell phone for a long time not because I couldn’t afford it but because I didn’t know it is the magic formula to get yourself a date :-P.
I began with Hutch pre-paid. I got mighty pissed off one morning when I had to make an important call and didn’t have freaking balance. I said good bye to pre-paid. My post-paid plan gives me 1000 bucks worth sms (local+national) for a monthly subscription of 99 bucks.
hehe
