I bought this phone yesterday for Rs. 1750. It is a basic, no frills phone. I think its very sexy looking for a phone of this price range. But the main reason I bought it was, as far as i know it is the first phone that uses EPD (electrophoretic papar display) which means the display is like paper.
So move over LCDs & TFTs. EPD is here to stay. I was already planning to get a second handset (i own am SE W810i) when this phone caught my eye. You can make and recieve calls, send and recieve text messages and thats pretty much what it can do. loll. It is also very slim 9mm in thickness. But like I said the main reason for buying was the EPD which is the display of the future.

I borrowed a friend’s F3 to see what the hype was all about. It’s amazing! It has the best battery life, for a Motorola… It actually lasts upto a day with medium usage. (sorry, I used to own a V3i which I’ve now thankfully dumped onto my sis)
Reception is horrendous though. I gave the phone back after three days. It lasted another three before my tech-hungry ‘i-check-gizmodo-everyday’ friend threw it against the wall in frustration.
The EPD is extremely promising though. We finally have a phone that you can use on the brightest days.
And what’s with the LCD style display… it only displays upto 6 characters on a line and then scrolls the entire thing sideways.
But then, hey, when you’re on a budget…

i hv always been using motorola ‘s (a brief love affair with Nokia in b/w but find em too fat for me….) …..only flaw is their short battery life ( i dont particularly like this one though , cud be mistaken for a toy !!!) …… and am still very much loyal to my maroon V3i …….. coz its slim…..
