I saw lots of Airtel advertisements in Aizawl during my trip in January. But Airtel in Aizawl isn’t the Airtel elsewhere at least when I was there. Attempt to call Airtel users from BSNL mobile failed over 90% of the time. I could never call Sandman, an Airtel user, 90% call wouldn’t get thru and 10% engaged, busy talking to sweetheart. However, Airtel – Airtel was a different story. My Aunt had to use Airtel connection to call and round up student volunteers for NSS camping, since most of the students use Airtel.

The last I heard, many of my friends shifted to Reliance because of the superior service… an tha a ngem le reliance hi hetah… chuvang chuan conexion thar pawh ka la book ve ngam lo.. mahse ka Airtel life time prepaid hi ka ning tawhhhh, life time ber kher min lo tih sak a, call rate a sang emmm emmmm minute khatah cheng 3! huisssssss……

though late i would like to say that you may think it was airtel problem.. however i would say that was a congestion problem which is always there with BSNL… thats why you could not call through airtel from your bsnl..
