Aizawl, August 8: The Kolasib police have nabbed a rapist accused of sleeping with his two daughters and forcing them to have sex with him on August 6. The rapist will appear before the court tomorrow to hear his verdict. According to reports, Lalropianga, aged 44, raped both of his biological daughters, aged 16 and 7. He has confessed to the police to have slept with his older daughter since 2001 and then slept with his younger daughter since last month.
Sources have reported that Lalropianga used to live in Jiribam, a town bordering both Assam and Manipur, and shifted his residence to Kolasib town at the beginning of the year. He is also reported to have dwelled in Zemabawk locality in Aizawl.
Police came to know of the rape when the younger daughter told her friends that her father used to have sex with her. The Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (women’s organization) was then informed by her friends who filed a FIR following which the rapist was arrested on August 6 and was given a double rape case.
Giving her point of view on the shocking incident, Lalengruali Sailo, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee stressed that such incidents occur due to the people’s misuse of liberty and freedom.
“It is high time that we give sex education in the family, churches and in the community. Most of the sex workers today are in their position because they have been raped or molested while in their childhood. Parents have to give more attention to their children than their livelihood,” she said.

I disagree with the Chairperson of …whatever the organization’s name is… Things like this have nothing to do with sex education. Some people are just born fucked up man. I read cnn.com quite often and these things happen very often even in a country like America. According to many scientific researches many criminals like this – pedohpiles, serial killers, serial rapists etc. have specific genes that are quite different from a typical human being. In other words, there is an important biological aspect to it. I guess most Mizos would disagree with this due to the “free will” concept of Christianity.

There have been so many researches done in this field to imply what Chiangkuanga said. Genetic disorders leading to chemical imbalances may cause a truck load of anomalies which could easily include such perversions.
Most likely, Lalropianga has the “incestuous paedophile gene” :P, like some men have the the homosexuality gene. Or he’s just plain fucked up. But anyway, having the gene doesn’t justify a thing.

I was just gonna use the homosexuality point, but I guess the guy above (Maimawm) used it before me. Anyway, I do not remember where I read or watched about how many criminals have messed up genes. I probably watched on Discovery Channel or cnn.com . Don’t mean to get all sexual here, but most human beings have fetishes (hope you know what this means). Most fetishes are harmless, but unfortunately some fetishes are pretty sick. Pedophilia and rape are two I can think of. You know how they say alcoholism runs in the blood. Same thing with cancer. Cancer and Alcoholism for example have a genetic aspect. Same thing with fetishes (pedophilia and rape). This by no means justifies a criminal’s actions. Actually some scientists believe in “determinism” which pretty much traces down a person’s actions and thinking to the cellular level, to the atoms the make up the cell and to the sub atoms that make up the atoms and to the energy the make up the sub atoms. Goes all the way to quantum physics and pretty much disregards “free will”. Anyway, different people have different ideas.
