It’s not Schezewan. But Sichuan, Szechwan or Szechuan. So what’s “Szechuan”? Probably something you see on the menu in a restaurant under “Chinese”.
It is actually a province of south-central China settled by non-Chinese people including Tibetans, the Miao, and the Hui.
Who brought Chinese recipe to India? Was it Fahien or Hiuen Tsang? To find out, Business World has this article Yum, China! about a new wave of Chinese restaurants entering India with authentic Chinese food.

Where can u get authentic chinese food in India? Everywhere I’ve been to hundreds of restaurant across the country I have not seen any authentic chinese food in india :P, i.e ofcourse excluding Homemade. The ones that they have in chinatown like calcutta Tangra are also what they call Guai Lo Chinese Food, meaning white mans chinese food..prepared to suit the taste-buds of other ethnics.
