Dance Dance (1987)
This is one of the best performances of Mithun Chakraborty. He grew up as an orphan with his sister (Smita Patil). They turned into road side singers to super dancers and became the famous Romeo. Mithun loved his sister more than anything in the world. I could literally see that on his face when she died. He was lonely and despair. But he gained back his fame when his girl friend (Mandakini) asked to gig which he did for the first time after he lost his sister.

Qayamat se Qayamat tak (1988)
Amir Khan and Juhi Chawla portrayed the Hindi version of Romeo and Juliet (in some ways – rivalry between two families). So this absolutely is a romantic tragedy. They eloped when Juhi was on the verge of getting married, arranged by her family. Both of them stayed in a mountain top, in a tiny little cottage but their romantic days were over too soon when both the families found them, leading to the death of both of them.

Khoon Bhari Maang (1988)
A widow, Rekha and her two children lived in a cute little estate along the river. A handsome man came along to ask Rekha’s hand for marriage and promised her that he would take care of her and her children. They got married eventually and she realized sooner that it was all set up to get her property.

Sonu Walia was Rekha’s best friend and was a famous model. She and her boy friend (Kabir Bedi) had a plan to kill Rekha by pushing her from a boat near a crocodile. She did not die, instead she became the best upcoming model of their times. No one recognized her comeback of Rekha who turned so beautiful. Sonu was jealous as Rekha was a competition to her and that was Rekha’s first step to revenge and second was Kabir madly in love with Rekha, leaving Sonu.

Maine Pyar Kiya (1989)
Two different families but love sacrificed them all. Salman Khan was rich but his girl friend (Bhagyashree) was from a poor family. Their fathers were childhood best friends but have grown apart and have little in common as time passed. Salman Khan left their pretty huge mansion and worked as a poor man in a village to prove his love for Bhagyashree. They finally approved their relationship and their fathers got back their long lost friendship.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
Shahrukh Khan and Kajol met in their trip to Europe. They initially don’t like each other but their friends get along well so they had to be together. While they were in Switzerland, both of them missed their train to Zurich and had to wait for a day to catch another train. The romance all started during their stay in this foreign land. But they couldn’t accept the feelings they had for each other until Kajol was engaged to a Punjabi guy in India. Shahrukh with the support of his dad came to India to steal the bridegroom (as the name of the movie).

Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995)
The movie is all about an ambitious singer; Manisha Koirala once married to another ambitious singer, Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan cannot allow his wife to focus on her singing career, while he was not doing good and reached nowhere. Love couldn’t hold them together anymore. She left her husband and a son to pursue her dreams. She reached her destiny and became one of the most famous actress and singer of her time while Aamir Khan was still auditioning in small pubs. They had a son so they gotta meet time to time leading them to fall in love all over again. It is a touching movie with great moral.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
Kajol and Shahrukh Khan were best friends in college. When Rani Mukherjee joined their college in the middle of the term, it was love at first sight for Shahrukh Khan. Kajol realized she is in love with Shahrukh Khan when he proposed Rani. They eventually fall in love. Kajol, feeling left out and heart broken disappeared and appeared only after many years. By then, Shahrukh was a widower (Rani is dead) with a daughter. Kajol was back with a great change: strikingly beautiful (not like the one in college days). Shahrukh Khan had to fall in love with her charm. Not only that, her daughter liked Kajol so much that Shahrukh proposed her to marry him. The saddest part was that Kajol was engaged to Salman Khan already. But Salman back off when he knew how much the couple meant to each other.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)
Shahrukh was the adopted son of a tycoon, Amitabh Bachchan. When Shahrukh Khan came back from abroad, he met a young girl from the neighborhood. She was poor and lived in a poor locality. But Amitabh Bachchan refused their marriage, making Shahrukh Khan wanted to leave the country with Kajol. Amitabh Bachchan insulted Shahrukh Khan about him not being apart of his blood

Rang De Basanti (2006)
Sue, a British journalist (who spoke Hindi) came to India to make a documentary of Indian history about the independence movement. With the help of Soha Ali Khan (her old friend), she managed to pick four college going guys. As they started with the shooting, their friendship grew and became very close.

During the course of time, there was a corruption and injustice being practice among the Indian politicians. They fought back as much as they could but politicians were too powerful for those young Delhite college boys. They were all killed tragically as how their portrayals died in the documentary which they filmed.

Don – The Chase Begins Again (2006)
Don was his name and he was one of the leaders of Indian gangsters settled in Malaysia. His rival named, Vardhan was never seen by anyone except for those who worked for him. Don was later caught by the Indian police Office named De Silva and he sacked Don to death. This was De Silva’s secret. He found a guy (Vijay) who actually looked exactly like Don (SRK playing double role), took him to Malaysia and used him to act as Don and to keep informing him all the confidential of the gang. Now, De Silva thought he knew the secrets and plan of Don’s gang but he did not.

The truth came out only in the last scene where De Silva was Vardhan himself acting like a Police Officer. This was why he tried to use Vijay as Don and Vardhan was enemy. Not only that the other truth was the real Don killed Vijay. So he outsmarted De Silva and acted as Vijay to act as Don.
