In the recently concluded Counterstrike 1.6 Competition conducted by LPS and Serps Connection (zarkawt), team “Akatsuki” emerged as the winner.

Squeet (Lalromawia)
Apit (Tekuri)
Freako (Aipea)
First Prize: Rs 30,000/- cash prize + MSI company sponsored original Collin McRae Rally game.
Aisera (Akawnga) won the title of “Frag Master” and received a Razer Krait™ Gaming Mouse and a Sony Ericsson phone as special prize.
Akatsuki beat dawrpui team “Reneg8z” in the Finals and they received Rs. 10,000/- in cash prize and original BIT Defender CD.

Being a Counterstrike champ is by no means an easy feat, contrary to popular belief that gamers play for fun and waste their time. Pro-gamers put in as much effort and dedication into their “work” as any other people, and here is us wishing them that they may travel far and go beyond our State borders and one day qualify to play for prestigious tournaments at eSports or WGT.

It would be really cool if someone could sponsor these guys for national events. i bet they could kick vai ass real good (no offense intended). Gaming is now mainstream and gamers are making good money abroad. it has now become a lifestyle, a profession, and personally i think its damn cool. way to go guys. im a hardcore gamer myself but not too much of a counter strike fan. im hooked on Halo (best Multiplayer game of all time if u ask me). hook me up if anyone of u guys are on xboxlive game tags:sangkima/joygasm.
