CHENNAI: The city-based television major Sun TV Network Ltd, through its subsidiary South Asia FM, will launch FM radio stations in Gangtok and Aizawl, the respective capital cities of Sikkim and Mizoram, a company official said.

So this will be the first private owned Radio station in Mizoram? Besides clearer sound, whats the benefit of FM?

More music maybe? And probably do away with those boring AIR Hindi/Sanskrit news, commmunity programmes etc. and introduce more interactive broadcasting (chatting with listeners, request songs etc), real live commentary on sporting events or some events that is worthwhile such as YMA conference

Whats the benefit?
Just think: you’re a working person in Aizawl. You’re woken up at 6:30 in the morning by your radio alarm clock playing the latest hits. You take a shower and have breakfast and then drive to work while listening the whole time to an interesting show on a popular topic. After work, you drive home while taking part in an interactive show by your favourite host…
Most cell phones today have FM and if things go well who knows, FM radio might be the next Mizo fad…

FM station hi awm teuh se ka ti ve ngawt mai… hei a awm tan zel chu a ni a, a lawmawm ngawt mai. Country hla chauh, Hard Rock chauh, Soft Rock station tih vel…chi hrang hrang hi nei teuh mai ila, in elna a sang bawk anga, kan ziazang sawt khawp ang le.
