As you read the report, Maruti is launching the A-star in a ceremony being held in New Delhi. The much awaited, made in India (Suzuki’s first) is seen as Maruti’s counter act against Hyundai’s i10.
Though it replaces alto in european markets, Maruti’s new A-star will co-exist with the alto in India. Power comes from an all new 1litre,3 cylinder unit developing 67PS and 90Nm. In europe the same engine is already doing the duty under the hood of Suzuki’s splash.
