Uranium deposits likely in Mizoram

Aizawl, Oct 29 (PTI) There is a high possibility of existence of uranium deposits in Mizoram where experimental exploration has been carried out by the Department of Atomic Energy, the state assembly was told today. Uranium particles found at the Mizoram-Assam border Kolasib district tested to be 2 p.p.m (per particle million), state Minister for Industries, S. Hiato Lalduhawma of the Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) said.
