In Loving Memory of My Brother

I remember the days with you,
Even though I never count any.
I remember the things you’ve said,
Even though I need not remember some.
I remember the songs that you played,
Even though I never like any.
I remember the clothes that you wore,
Even though I never find trends in any.

I always thought…. we were far apart even though we were brothers
But I don’t know where and when we were apart.
I remember the days when we were young,
We would go to school together and I would hold your little hands.
But I don’t remember now when I let go of your hands…

Time has changed us so much,
And destiny has set us apart.
I went my way and likeways, you went your ways.
I have dreams and wishes for you,
But I could never force you to take them.

Twenty three years on this earth together,
I thought I knew you well enough as a brother.
But when I think back of our lives,
There were so many things that I’ve missed out as being your bigger brother,
There were things that I should have tell you,
Things that I should have done.

But now, only some bitter sweet memories,
Are all that i have left of you,
Memories of the time when we fought,
Memories of the time when we had our first t.v
They still lingers in my heart….

I never tend to realise the goodness in you,
But I always see your bad points and complain.
Too bad that I realised it now,
How much I love you
And how proud I used to be of you…

Well if this is what God’s will,
Then I guess I’ll have to live
With these memories everyday.
I know that there’s no more chance
To say this to you in person,
So I just put them down in words
Hoping by any chance that you will read it..

I love you and I miss you lil bro.
