Subject : Appeal for support and mutual cooperation among the Tribal movements especially for creation of Kuki State from present Manipur.
Sir,
We, the undersigned, on behalf of Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC), fervently appeal for cooperation and support to our demand in the interest of tribal peoples and development of tribal areas.
The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) formed Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC) to spearhead the movement for creation of Kuki State. The KSDC submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India demanding Creation of Kuki State Stating that the Kuki National Assembly had been submitting a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India on the 24th March, 1960, and also the Kuki Chiefs’ Association, Manipur, did the same on the 20th November, 2004.
Due to tribal conflicts Kuki State demand could not be moved to the Government as well as to the people. However, the political atmosphere in the tribal areas is conducive to vitalege the Kuki State demand movement.
In order to mobilize the people as well as the Government, the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) formed KSDC on the 2nd November, 2010, for creation of Kuki State.
We, therefore, appeal you and your organization to support the movement and remember in your prayer to God for the success of the demand in the interest of peace, progress, posterity and protection of tribal land, rights, customs and culture.
Let us extend helping hands in our programmes in future.
