Dr. Laldinliana s/o Lalthangliana Varte, Mission Veng, Aizawl is declared qualified for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Commerce by the Mizoram University Notification on 27th June, 2011. In fact, he is the first to receive the highest academic degree in Commerce from Mizoram University.
Dr Laldinliana received the doctoral degree for his thesis entitled ‘Consumer Behaviour in Mizoram: An empirical Study’ under the guidance of Prof. NVR Jyoti Kumar. The thesis has many interesting findings which received appreciation of the subject experts. Dr. Laldinliana is working as Assistant Professor in Mizoram University in Commerce Department. He offers, in his thesis, specific suggestions for marketers, trade and commerce, consumer organizations, NGOs and also the policy makers such as Govt. of Mizoram in this pioneering work.
