Lelte announced they would introduce new feature – Mizo Music Videos on their website. On their website it says
“Lelte website-a mahni Music Video tih lan duh chuan Lelte Office, Saron Veng, Aizawl Ph : 2325958-ah in rawn thehlut anga, khawvel pum huapa a duh apiangin an thlir theih turin kan lo chhawpchhuak zel dawn a ni.”
We have been doing this for bands such as Magdalene, Plastic Coated. Singers like MK-i , Mimi etc… via Youtube with their agreement. If you go searching on youtube, you would find several Mizo Music Videos this days uploaded by several people.
Tried contacting Mami Varte via Sandman, response(not from her directly) was that her parents don’t really like the idea. I emailed Daduhi’s husband for mp3’s of Daduhi’s songs. He was a bit reluctant to put it for download. They have their reasons.
Lelte’s new step is welcoming. However, if you want to show your video to the world, you don’t need to go down to Pu C.Dina’s house. Go ahead and upload it to youtube, myspace, give suitable tags so that people will find it easily. And post the link, embedded code on Mizo websites.

Jeez, what could Mami Varte’s parents be thinking of? I know them personally, Liangi especially, and I’m pretty certain they know peanuts about the internet. They’re probably confusing the whole idea with uploading pics of their precious daughter in case it lands up on a porn site. Hee haw. Net-illiterates…sigh.
