Apparition of Jesus in Shillong

September 14th, 2006 8:49 pm by Jinx

These are photos of the Apparition of Jesus as seen in Malki Presbyterian Church,Shillong. It was taken by an eye-witness on her mobile phone. It is clearest at night and many people flock to Malki church to see the vision.

The bird in the picture is supposedly said to have perched on the “pulpit” of Jowai Church for quite a while at the initial stage of the revival in Meghalaya.

*Now there’s even news of Jesus and the angels appearing at the back curtain of a church.
*Many students were chucked out of the Catholic schools.

Calling on Shillongites to post more info about these happenings. It’ll be interesting to know more about these ‘miracles’.

Datz exactly wot I want to point out Ben….No more ‘seeing is believing’ in this generation until it’s poked, analysed, experimented, codified etc by the scientific community.

No wonder, even Thomas did not believe unless he sees the nail marks, put his finger where the nail marks were and put his hand into Jesus’ side. However, that does not make Jesus’ resurrection less authentic.

Where will ‘faith’ come in? Seems to me that we have more faith in Science than in Jesus in this age. Whenever there’s some ‘happening’ related to our belief, the first question that pops into our mind is…”Is it proven scientifically?” rather than prayerfully questioning whether it’s Biblical.

Jesus is revealed only to those who ‘choose’ to have faith in Him irrespective of miracles or no miracles. And if by a miracle one person comes to faith….datz all it needs!! The unbelieving lot will spin their head on the how’s, where’s and when’s. Coz when there are believers, there’s bound to be unbelievers/cynics/sceptics etc etc

How else do we reckon God to work in our lives to have faith in Him? In normal circumstances, we don’t follow Him and in abnormal cases, we tend to doubt more………..huisssss!!

Yes, we don’t need ‘miracles’ to have faith in Jesus. But this is the core question…..do we have faith in God even when there is no miracle?

Phew! Thought there was something wrong with me until I read all your comments below saying you guys can’t see anything either. hehehe what a relief :-) No offence to the faithful, but I’m suddenly reminded of the story about the Emperor’s new clothes right now. You all know how that went.

And before anybody start crucifying me for blasphemy again I would like to state that I am just making an honest opinion and not denouncing or criticizing or discriminating the Christian faith! Peace!!!!

its actually the effect of the lights around the cross. if u look properly u’l notice that the lights are actually bulbs of maybe 60-100 watts. try placing about five to six bulbs with proper spacing(a khat tokin) behind a homemade cross ( two planks of char teen) and u’l see the effect. when u look at the cross u’l notice that alternate bulging of light in the cross… this is all due to the spacing of the bulbs and reflection. some lights pass thru without being obstructed by the cross… while the other lights which are obstructed by the opaque wood wud have a shadow like form which eventually looks like the body of a human with proper curves and shapes. there you go.. its so simple for science students to figue that out but the part which says touching n feeling jesus…thats because of the way their minds are set…. faith!!!!
