She was completely in love with him that she didnt notice that he had said “i love you..but..” and not “but…i love you”….when she related her story that day in the cafe, i thought to myself “…poor girl” and tried consoling her as much as i could. After dropping her off, i went home, had my dinner and was reading some mag., when that girls’ story popped out of nowhere right in front of my eyes.. I HAD ALSO BEEN THROUGH THIS!!! I JUST DIDNT NOTICE where he put the word “BUT”!!!!!
This is what happens to many lovers…who think they are in love. Of course…they might have been so much in love that they were blinded by the power of love but its totally their fault!! and i am one of them! If only i had listened to what he said..the way he said it and not the way i wanted to hear it from him…
I blamed him for the state i was in.. broken and cold.. but after what that girl told me, i really thought about it and realised it was all my fault. I made him love me the way i wanted him to. Eventually after he couldnt take it anymore, he left me…

What is so confusing? Now I know why you don’t like reading my long posts. A short simple and sweet post like this can even throw your World into complete chaos and confusion… no wonder!
There are 4 characters in this post, I think. Her friend and her friend’s boyfriend, and the writer and her boyfriend. Hope that cleared some of your confusion, mister thickWhite

Yes there is a big difference between “But… i love you” and “I love you… but…” The latter is something nobody wants to hear from somebody they love… Cheer up girl.
The positioning of “but” can be very crucial. Atleast be thankful he didn’t say “I love… but you” or worse “I… but love you”
And if you’re a guy, Goldmember would probably say “I love you(r) butt”…
