Are there any car rental services available in Aizawl from which you can hire a car without driver for full day? Perhaps a Honda City or a Tata Safari. If it is then how much will be the cost. Reply in english only please.
I doubt it. Visitors from Aizawl, any idea? Even if there is one (Car rental service), Honda City or Tata Safari aren’t the right choice for the small roads of Aizawl, especially if your sole purpose is transportation. If you want to impress your girl friend, it’s a different story

There isn’t any as far as I know. I went home to Aizawl this christmas/new year and a friend of mine with his family came along too – I had looked at this option too but was unable to get one.

VERY FUNNYY…It might be more appropriate to post this one in HAHAHA. How the hell do you plan to move around in Aizawl without a Driver ? Am asking you this Q becoz you are posing yourself as someone who does not know nothing much about Aizawl. Aizawl is not like Bangalore nor Mumbai where you can get big cars like Tata Safari and Mercedez Benz etc for rent..and that too with a Driver ……… unless you have extra money to burn..Bhaaiya.
If you really meant what you are asking(which I dont believe)lolz…there are many City Taxi services available. (Suspicious…lolz..am sorry)

@Sanju – I wouldn’t really advice you to drive those kind of cars up there in Mizoram especially if you’re coming from the plains where you have those big wide roads. Its really difficult to drive cars like that if you’re not used to driving up the hills where the roads are pretty narrow & steep, you wont wanna get into any accidents… You can prolly hire a Maruti 800 taxi or sumthing like that.. thats the best or a Jeep if you’re going hunting…

YO..i know, am being silly..but I do know the procedure of car renting here in the cities too and I know renting a car without a Driver is often out of question, ok unless you are damn rich..I say damn rich..And if you are that damn rich you dont ask this kinda question in websites… So, why is this young man asking such a question, mentioning some expensive cars for rent, that too without a driver..hahaha. If he is a foreigner..ok..common..fine. But he seems to be an Indian..Sorry Sanju..

Hmmm…City Cars Bazar and rentals is readily available in Aizawl.They have Tata Safari and the like..when my boss came visiting to Tuipang,he hired a Tata Safari from City Cars Bazar and Rentals..of course it is available for hiring.

I don’t think you would find a rental car in aizawl.And even if there is, you wouldn’t find a City or safari. But don’t you wory, you wouldn’t know how to drive in the streets of Aizawl. You need to be a very skilled driver to drive there. Road minimun size and maximum car. Think about it, you wouldn’t want to drive there, its suicide for the non-mizo(don’t get me wrong, we mizo drivers are all dare devil)

YES THERE IS A RENTAL, I dont know whether its the same one as Burgerstud has mentioned or not but I know for sure there is one in Upper Republic, maybe its the same, City Cars do sound familiar so..go check it out they have all sort of cars….
BTW Tata Safari or Honda City is fine for the road might have a lil hard time finding a parking spce at the main bazaar for tata safari but its fine with honda city, the cars not any lower then most of the cars…as long as u got the money to rent them DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a car rental. Its located in Upper Republic Veng locality at Pu C. Pahlira’s building. They have second hand cars for sale and you can hire these cars as well. However, “U drive” cars (without drivers) will not be available nor Safari or Honda City. Anyway, its much better to have a chauffered car because of the parking problem in Aizawl.

Kan ‘twist’ hlek teh ang, Motor tha hire duh chuan Kawng siam tha phawt rawh se.. Tuna kan kawng hi chu tawlailir leh mahindra Jeep leh Gipsy tlanna awm tak a ni. Honda City leh Safari chu HNAWK tak a ni..

I have no idea to say whether there is a car rental service in Aizawl or not because it’s been almost 5yrs since i left Aizawl.somebody If there is not any, somebody should start this bussiness.However,after all this years i’m wondering how’s Aizawl and the road is?

The insurance costs are too high in India to allow people to drive without a driver. So that’s why you cannot get a car for hire without a driver.
There are several companies that provide cars for rent with driver in Aizawl. Alternatively you could just use taxis. There’s a company in Aizawl that provides a radio taxi service now. They speak English so can sort out any hassles you may have with language too.
