Perhaps, Tourism Department should work with Reiek YMA. If tourism develops in an around Reiek (Tlang), the people from Reiek themselves will benefit. However, this be done with minimal/no damage to environment.
Is E/F Department the responsible party to preserve such site?

1) You cannot compare Reiek and Alaska
2) Unless Reiek villagers stop forcibly visitor, people will keep visiting. So it makes sense to provide a rest house etc.. which will aid visitors.

although i would like to see a more accessible reiek, i hope nothing is done to spoil the beauty and the sense of adventure. a month back we went walking up the last mile from reiek town… very nice… wet n slippery

Tha ber han tir chuan, I expect to see some survey done.
My point here is, if you were to present a paper on evironment blah blah.. would you say this place has best preserved natural because Sir Attenborugh said so?
Also questions that comes to me “How would one measure Natural Beauty”?
For instance, WWF announced largest forest reserve based on the area covered (I suppose).
