Mr Big/ Eric Martin coming to shillong !! Why don’t they ever come to Aizawl? As far as I know only two foreign bands have visited Aizawl – Petra and Smokie whhile Shillong has been visited by MLTR, Firehouse, Petra, Killers(Paul Di Anno) and now Mr Big. There are also rumors of SEPULTURA coming in December (They are coming, click here -benjamin).
Back to the question, I think while others appreciate live music wee prefer to see some guys/girls sing/rap to some soundtrack while dancing away…lol. Mipa lam zuai zuai hi chu an tuai ka ti tlat.
Cmon people, if you really love music, you should appreciate Live Music. And if you still think using soundtrack is better, it means you don’t really like music at all. Heck even Michael Jackson uses live music not sountracks.
BTW, please answer this question. “What do you think needs more talent and hard work, to play the guitar like Malmsteen/Steve Vai or to rap like Eminem”

You cannot compare. Can Steve Rap like Eminem? Can Eminem play like Steve Vai.
I think international bands don’t come to Aizawl mainly because of accessibility.

it could be due to accessibility also as u said.
another point.. other than mizo (duhlian) no language is used in mizoram. this could also be one reason why international bands don’t come here. shillong even the old ladies speak english :))

To answer your question both needs talent and hard work. People may want to play guitar but that does not necessarily means they can play likewise with rapping.

as ben said.. main reasons why international bands didnt come to mizoram is because of inaccessibility.
lets say.. to be frank.. to rap like eminem could be easier than to play like steve vai. guess what.. i listen to some hip hop music and i could somehow follow them or rap along with them after listening 4/5 times. when i listen steve vai/malmsteen’s music… i couldn’t play a note along with them after listening so many times. its quite hard.

Mizopa sawi “No Booze…” a ho viau na a, a dikna chen a awm ka ring tlat. Chubakah Hotel han en in khawiahnge an thlen ang?? It has very little to do with the taste in our music, I’m pretty sure that majority of us are much more into 80s – 90s rock than people in Shillong.

A hnaih hnaih nen zuk zin ula ni mai alawm..show ur true love for them if u want them to come to Mizoram..people travel across the world to see the bands they love..I know we are all good in executing the “talk the talk” but maybe its time to “walk the walk” hihihihi
