Aizawl, October 28 The Mizoram Students Union Regional Hqrs Lunglei had come out with a statement saying that numerous shows/contests organized by the cable TV operators is having a bad affect on the academic performances of students.
Aizol Times supports the student union’s view on the issue. Read “Too many shows“. The paper does however concludes:
“Consumers too have a right to their choice of TV programmes and if these shows interest them, a section of the society cannot just criticize them and ask that they be stopped. As such, a balance has to be maintained somewhere so that while people are not deprived of shows that interest them, these shows have as little negative impact as possible on the society.”
