Aizawl Nov 25: According to the All India Radio Aizawl, 33 families in Lamherh village under Suangpuilawn constituency are on the verge of facing starvation with rice nowhere to be found.
The AIR today reported 120-family village has been facing great difficulty in obtaining rice because the main godown in in Suangpuilawn had become empty. Although the other families may manage to survive for this week, 33 families in Lamherh now do not have rice to cook even today.
Recently, Tlabung constituency had also faced the same crisis in some villages and this was told to this newspaper by none other than the people’s representative for this constituency, Nihar Kanti Chakma.
He told this paper that rice supply hardly reaches the main town of the constituency and that the godown there remains empty most of the time.

“Let them eat cake (or pizza”” seems to th the attitute of state overnment leaders, one of whom is holidaying in America, the land of milk and honey (and pizza).
